Alicia Longo
Alicia’s Paramedical career started in Palm Beach County in 1974 after earning her Medical Assisting Degree from Palm Beach Junior College.
Alicia started APP’s first North Floirda offices in 1987. Alicia has served as Community Service Chair on the Board of NAIFA Northeast Florida for over 30 years. In 2004 she was honored with the Community Service Award. She HAS chaired numerous golf tournaments for the local NAIFA Chapter, in 2008 Alicia was the first Associate Member for NAIFA given special dispensation to complete the LILI Class. Alicia still participates in NAIFA’s Day on The Hill, attends the annual meetings, is an IFAPAC contributor at the Envoy level, and is State Chair for LILI, (Leadership In Life Institute).
In the past, Alicia has served on the Boards of The American Heart Association, The University Club, The Mayor’s Hispanic American Advisory Board (Past Chair) and has Chaired several major fundraisers and currently still actively serves on the Board of The Children’s Home Society of NE Florida.
In 2020 Alicia married Joe Longo and “we are continuing to learn the Paramed business together”, as Joe was retired from the steel industry. Joe now serves APPS as CEO & Sales Representative for NE Fl.
They are active members of the Catholic Church of the Epiphany in Port Orange, they live in Jacksonville & Ponce Inlet and enjoy family, friends, boating, concerts, travel, and working as APPS’ representatives.
Joe Longo
Joe is the Regional Chief Operating Officer of APPS North Florida. Joe has been active in this capacity for the past 6 years and joined the APPS family when he and Alicia married.
Joe’s background is in the Steel Industry where he began his career with Bethlehem Steel Corporation. His career path includes working for a producing mill and then on to the Steel Service Center industry where Joe held several Management positions and ultimately retired a President of Metals USA – Plates and Shapes Division.
Joe has 3 grown children, all graduates of Penn State University. In addition, Joe has 7 grandchildren.
Joe is a member of NAIFA Northeast Florida and serves as First Vice President / Treasurer of his HOA in Ponce Inlet, Fl.
Joe and Alicia are Parishioners of the Catholic Church of the Epiphany in Port Orange, Fl where Joe serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Both Alicia and Joe are Parishioners of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Jacksonville.
Renee Loman
Renee’s career in the medical field began in 1986 in Jacksonville, FL after earning her
Medical Assisting Degree from Concorde Career Institute.
Prior to Renee joining APPS she worked in the hospital as Unit Secretary.
Renee has worked as a field examiner with APPS over the last 34 years. She still works in the field and in the office as needed for Customer Service.
Renee is currently single and has three incredible daughters and 7 beautiful grandchildren.
Christina Lopez
Christina’s career in the medical field began in 1996 in Jacksonville, FL after earning her Medical Assisting Degree from Concorde Career Institute.
Prior to Christina coming to APPS she worked in multiple areas of medicine from OB/
Gyn to the Hospital ER. She has also worked with the Sexual Assault Team in Jacksonville, FL collecting evidence, as well as, caring for victims and their families.
Christina has been with APPS Paramedical of North Florida for over 25 years. She is not only an examiner but also serves as Compliance Officer.
Christina has been married to her husband Luis for 36 years. They have 2 amazing children & 2 wonderful grandchildren.
Samantha Decker
I have lived in Jacksonville, FL most of my life, moving as a young girl from NY, with my family. I have been married to my Husband for 23 years.
I have been working in the medical field since 1994. I started out as a CAN then became and EMT, and in 2000 became a Paramedic. I worked on an Ambulance for several years and then began doing paramedical exam work in 2011 with Portamedic. My career with APPS began in October of 2013 as a result of that acquisition.
My duties with APPS include onboarding and orienting of new examiners, maintaining current examiners and helping implement new procedures/policies with all examiners, as needed. Maintaining supplies/inventory, Customer service (taking orders, scheduling appointments) quality control of completed paperwork, assisting examiners and customers with questions and concerns. I also perform the life insurance exams when needed.
Paula Cook
Paula became part of the team in July of 2016 and takes orders, checks status of cases, and assisted Agents and Agencies with problem resolution. Paula is also in charge of invoicing and record keeping at the Regional Offices for APPS.
Paula’s education is for Medical Transcription, and she also serves as the expert in “APPSLIVE”.
Paula is married to Jonathan, and in her spare time she enjoys gardening, home repairs, trivia nights, rescuing displaced kittens.
Melissa Noseworthy
Melissa has worked in the Paramedical Industry since 2003, as a Medical Assistant.
She joined the APPS team initially as a mobile examiner, then came to the Regional Jacksonville offices as a full-time in-house Clinician and Customer Service Rep in 2025.
Melissa enjoys spending time with her son and daughter.
Lesley Zavala
Lesley is a dedicated customer service professional at Apps Paramedical, where she specializes in customer support and quality control for life insurance medical examinations.
Bringing over five years of experience as a Medical Assistant, applying her extensive medical knowledge to support both clients and colleagues while contributing to the delivery of accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality healthcare services.
Currently pursuing a degree in Nursing, committed to continuous professional growth and expanding her expertise in the healthcare field. She is passionate about excellence, values integrity, and compassion in her work, and is dedicated to making a positive impact through every interaction and every task she undertakes.
Yalitza Santos
I am a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in education, leadership, customer service, and community engagement. As a U.S. Navy veteran, I bring discipline, integrity, and a strong commitment to serving others in every role I take on.
Throughout my career, I have worked in education, healthcare support, and administrative leadership, developing strengths in communication, problem-solving, team collaboration, and organizational management. I enjoy building positive relationships, streamlining processes, and helping individuals achieve their goals. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing me to effectively serve diverse communities and bridge communication gaps.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s degree in Educational Administration, and I am currently pursuing my Associate of Science in Nursing. My diverse background has given me the ability to adapt quickly, learn new skills, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Whether working directly with clients, supporting healthcare teams, or leading educational initiatives, I am passionate about making a meaningful impact through professionalism, compassion, and continuous learning.
